CRYOLIPOLYSIS (Fat Freeze)

Cryolipolysis is the latest technology in non-invasive body contouring and is a safer alternative to liposuction. “Cryo” means extreme cold, “lipo” refers to fat and “lysis” means to break down. It is a safe, FDA approved procedure and proven method of fat reduction which has been subject to clinical trials and scientific studies. It eliminates stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise with no return of them in the treated area.

The Cryo Laser-Lipo System is a multi-functional fat loss system that helps get rid of those stubborn pockets of fat. It is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that involves controlled cooling of fat cells to induce lipolysis – the breaking down of fat cells – to reduce body fat without damage to other tissues.

Fat Freeze (Cryolysis):

Fat cells contain ‘triglyceride’ and in particular low temperatures it is converted into a solid, which leads to the breaking down of those particular fat cells. Using advanced cooling technology to selectively target fat bulges, the Cryo Laser-Lipo System can eliminate the fat cells through a gradual process that doesn’t damage the skin, nerves or other surrounding tissue. When fat cells are exposed to the precise cooling of the system, they trigger a natural process of removal that gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer and are then gently eliminated through the body’s natural metabolic processes.

Body Sculpting (Laser Lipolysis):
Laser lipolysis, commonly known as ‘laser lipo’, is a non-invasive lipo sculpture procedure for the removal of stubborn pockets of fat such as saddlebags, love handles and double chins. The procedure uses a laser to effectively “melt’ unwanted fat on the body and then allows the body to metabolise the melted fat. The ideal candidate should be at, or close to their healthy body weight as it is designed to contour and shape the body rather than provide significant weight loss. Pregnant women are not suitable for this treatment.
Cellulite Reduction (Ultrasound Cavitation):
Cavitation is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses ultrasound technology to reduce fat cells. Sound waves penetrate directly into the fatty layer and deep seated cellulite causing friction between the fat cells, cracking them internally and dissolving the fat into a fatty acid. The sound wave vibration may also cause the cells to break apart instantaneously, which allows them to be expelled from the body in a natural way.
Skin Tightening and Collagen Development (Radio Frequency):
Using high-frequency electromagnetic wave therapy, or Radio Frequency Therapy, the skin and tissue is deeply penetrated, creating heat. The heat acts on collagen in the dermis layer promoting skin regeneration. The reaction the therapy creates also causes fat cells to shrink and tightens the skin, resulting in a firmer, slimmed look.

The big fat loss misconception
Most people are under the impression that fatty areas on the body are caused by an increase in fat cells in that specific area. The number of fat cells in our bodies becomes a fixed number sometime in our teenage years. Losing or gaining weight generally does not increase or decrease the number of fat cells. Instead, it changes the size of the fat cells. After dieting and weight loss, fat cells get smaller but the number of fat cells stays the same.

When weight is gained, fat cells get bigger. The Cryo Lipo-Laser System reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20% to 25%. These fat cells are naturally processed and eliminated so they won’t migrate to another area of the body. And, unlike what happens with other procedures, there’s no change to fat cells in untreated areas.

What are the side effects of the procedure?
The procedure is considered safe for most patients. Side effects are minor and rare and can include temporary redness, discomfort or numbness in the treated areas following the treatment. These side effects are normal and go away quickly.
